LOGAN, Utah—ABC Real Estate has just become the first trustee- investment firm in northern Utah and is looking for individuals interested in investing in their community. Through ABC Real Estate’s services investors are connected with people sharing their interest in real estate. The patent for their method is pending however, executives are confident that with their help, beneficiary-directed equity-holding trusts will revitalize the real estate market in Logan.

Preston Parker, the President of ABC Real Estate, says, “Our program brings people with different assets together for the benefit of everyone involved”. He developed this company with the intent to help people progress and advance in life. He says, “people who don’t have good credit, people who can’t get into homes, we’re helping them get connected with the right people”.

Investment in beneficiary-directed equity-holding trusts has been used to combat declining land values in California for years but a service such as is provided by ABC Real Estate is only recently available to investors in Utah and thus has considerable potential for growth.

ABC Real Estate’s innovative system involves four key players, the Seller Beneficiary (someone who owns land but can’t pay the mortgage), the Buyer Beneficiary (someone with poor credit that can’t get a loan), the Investor Beneficiary (someone with unused finances and interest in investing), and the Credit Beneficiary (someone with good credit). Each individual contributes his or her unique asset and shares an equal part in the trust.

Before entering into the trust, Trustees negotiate the terms of the agreement then sign a contract to that effect. An impartial fifth party (a trust lawyer) is brought in to mediate the process and legitimize the contracts.

The Seller Beneficiary sells equal shares of the property to each beneficiary. Once the credit beneficiary qualifies for a mortgage the buyer moves into the home and makes trust contributions with the excess divided between the Investor, Credit, and Seller beneficiaries. In turn the Buyer Beneficiary will receive a letter of recommendation from the Trustees and an opportunity to buy the house.

Since Preston Parker started ABC Real Estate in August of 2008 it has become a staple in Utah’s real estate market. Their innovative system began as an offshoot of one implemented in California to combat the state’s declining land value. Working close with his mentor in Salt Lake City, Parker was able to branch out and successfully employ his system in Utah’s land market. ABC Real Estate’s purpose is to connect ambitious individuals who wish to capitalize on their unemployed assets in a way that is beneficial to their community.

  1. Hey this is really good Madi! I am very impressed! You were very thorough and clear in your explanation of what the company does on a level that is understandable to an average person reading it. You explained some of the main points and purposes of the company while making them look really good. well done! My only suggestion, and remember, just a suggestion, would be to put a little bit more urgent and important info in the last paragraph since the first and the last is usually what people read anyways. But good job!

  2. Fix basic AP Style errors like phone numbers, titles, etc. Your first sentence mentions a "trustee-investment firm"...I don't know what that is, so you should rewrite that. Your second quote from Parker is not gramatically correct, so I doubt I approved it the way it's written. Periods go inside quotation marks, not outside (AP Style). Your boilerplate needs to not have Parker's name...be more basic about the company an dinclude some of the basic info you have included elsewhere in the release (remove it from elsewhere).
